• Throughout Särkisalo, there are benches called Valehtelijoiden taukopenkkejä (Liars’ benches) for walkers and exercisers to enjoy. The benches feature stories and information of nature. • Teijo National Park offers a variety of marked trails where you can hike in varied landscapes, paddle on the lakes, go canoeing or cycle in the midst of nature.
• Guided exercise classes are available in the summer in the Särkisalo church park or aktivites at Meripirtti sports field, organised by Särkisalon Urheilijat athlete club.

Cycling

• Try leisurely cycling in the Särkisalo countryside or head further away to the Coastal Route.
• Challenge yourself on the downhill cycling tracks at Meri-Teijo Bike Park– speed and excitement guaranteed!

Golf

• There are several golf courses in the surrounding area, offering a variety of landscapes. The Meri-Teijo Golf Course is located by the sea. At the Wiurila Golf Course you can enjoy manor house landscape and Salo Golf Course is located in the sports park in the city centre.

Local food and delicacies

• Check out the local farm shops and food kiosks, where you can find delicacies produced in the surrounding area. For example, at Lepola Shop you can enjoy artisan cider and take part in cider tasting.

Culture and events

• Exhibitions and museums: Visit art exhibitions in the area, such as the Wiurila Summer Exhibition or the Salo Art Museum Veturitalli
• History, music and theatre: Explore local museums and historical sites, and enjoy live music and concerts. In the summer, there are also several summer theatres in the area.
